As part of cutting energy waste and doubling energy productivity by 2030, the Energy Department today announced nearly $10 million to support research, development, and manufacturing of solid-state lighting (SSL) technologies across the country. PG&E also offers technology incentives for the installation of equipment or control software that provide Demand Response for Customized Retrofit. Riverside Public Utilities offers customers incentives when they replace older, inefficient lighting with the most energy-efficient fixtures available. And now, they are expanding this incentive program to include day-lighting and occupancy sensors, along with solar tubes and sky lighting.
